3 Hidden Gems Located Around Northumberland

Have you ever just wanted to find out more about your local area? Well you have come to the right place to find out my top 5 hidden gems in Northumberland.

Hindhope Linn - Postcode - NE19 1SW

This is Hindhope Linn and its going to start off our top 5 hidden gems because this just explains hidden gem. The waterfall itself is beautiful and also the walk around this place is just so refreshing and it just clears your mind. After walking you will end up at this spot with a waterfall and if you just chill there it can be very refreshing. This is what I like to call a hidden gem. Other features of the walk are the areas of old Scots Pine and larch, living reminders of the ancient forest of the area.

Duddo Standing Stones - Postcode - TD15 2PT

This is Duddo Standing Stones. The stones were known as the Four Stones until 1903, when the fifth stone was re-erected to improve the skyline. if you go visit this place it is a great spot just for chilling and it has a good story behind it which you just read.

Ros Castle

This is Ros Castle, this is making my top three because this is an amazing place also with a lot of history. Ros Hill is also known as Ros Castle due to the 3,000-year-old Iron Age hill fort on its summit. It is the highest point of a low range of hills stretching from Alnwick to Berwick.

It is situated just above Chillingham, with its famous herd of cattle. To walk to it, a short waymarked path acts as a guide through Hepburn Woods on to the moor above and then on to Ros Castle.
